In what was billed as a top 10 matchup in the state of Arkansas between Greenwood and Mountain Home, Greenwood showed why they are still the top dog defeating the Bombers 42-10.On what was a crisp fall evening in front of a very lively Bomber Stadium crowd, Mountain Home thought they were on the board, but a questionable call that, many think, should have been a scoop and score touchdown for the Bombers, ended up being a harmless incompletion. 2 plays after that the Bombers would give up a rushing touchdown to Champ Davis to begin the night to put the Bulldogs up 7-0. Davis would find paydirt again later in the quarter to put Greenwood up 14-0. Mountain Home, after punting on their first 3 drives, would show signs of life but the drive would come to an end when a Brantlee Phillips pass was tipped in the air and intercepted at the goal line resulting in Greenwood reclaiming possession of the ball. Greenwood would tack on a Kane Archer passing touchdown to Cooper Bland and take a 21-0 lead into the dressing room at halftime.

Coming out of the half Mountain Home finally broke the scoring drought with an Isaac Ballard field goal to close the gap to 21-3. Greenwood would respond with another Champ Davis rushing touchdown to put Greenwood up 28-3. The Bombers would cut into the defacit after Phillips connected with Carter Adkins for a 21 yard receiving touchdown to trim the lead to 28-10. Mountain Home would not get closer as Davis would scurry into the end zone 2 more times to close out the 42-10 victory for Greenwood, securing an outright 6A-west conference title for the Bulldogs.

For Greenwood, Central Florida commit Kane Archer would finish the night 23-39 passing and 1 passing touchdown, while Davis finished the night with 11 carries for 106 yards rushing, and 62 yards receiving. Brantlee Phillips would finish the night 7 for 25 passing and 98 yards in the air, finishing with 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Barrett Miller would finish the night gaining only 43 yards on 19 carries.

Mountain Home finishes the regular season at 8-2, good enough for 3rd place in the 6A-west, and for the second consecutive season, will host a home playoff game against the Sheridan Yellowjackets. Ticket information for that game will come out in the next few days.
