The Dermott Police Department has requested assistance from the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) after a local man was found dead the evening of Saturday, November 8, 2025.Fredrick Woods, 61, was found dead at the intersection of North Norwood and West Willow streets, where evidence indicates he was hit by a car that left the scene.
The deceased will be transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory, where manner and cause of death will be determined. The investigation is ongoing.
