
It’s a packed Thursday night across north central Arkansas as high school basketball teams hit the court, with several area programs looking to stay hot early in the season.
SENIOR GIRLS
In senior girls action, Cotter’s Lady Warriors, still unbeaten at 4-0, travel to Berryville, also off to a strong start at 1-0. Viola, now 3-1, looks to keep rolling as they host winless Shirley, who’s 0-4 on the season.
Mountain View, coming off a loss in their opener, will try to bounce back as they host Springdale, who’s 1-0. Calico Rock, sitting at 3-2, goes on the road to face Highland, making its season debut.
Salem (0-1) travels to face Buffalo Island Central, coming in at 4-1. Norfork, with a strong 4-1 record, will also be tested on the road at Mammoth Spring, who’s 4-2, while Kingston at 4-2 goes on the road to meet Huntsville.
Eureka Springs, sitting at 1-3, welcomes Mount Judea, while Harrison and Greenbrier both enter their matchup with 1-0 records. Timbo, still searching for its first win at 0-8, hosts Maynard, an even 4-4.
Valley Springs, off to a solid 4-1 start, takes on Farmington, who’s 1-0.
SENIOR BOYS
In senior boys play, Cotter’s Warriors, riding a two-game win streak and improving to 3-6, head to Berryville, who’s yet to play this season. Calico Rock, sitting at 3-1, visits Highland for the Rebels’ season opener. Viola, still searching for its first win at 0-4, travels to Shirley, who’s 1-4.
Kingston, winless at 0-6, hits the road to face Huntsville (0-2), and Harrison, now 1-0, will host Greenbrier.
Timbo (2-5) looks to get back in the win column as they host Maynard (5-3), and Norfork, still searching for their first victory at 0-4, visits Mammoth Spring, who comes in at 4-2.
