The Mountain Home Fire Department has taken possession of a new 2025 Rosenbauer Commander fire engine, marking a major upgrade to the city’s emergency response fleet. The new apparatus features a 1,500-gallon-per-minute pump, a 1,000-gallon water tank, a 30-gallon foam tank, and seating for six firefighters.

Fire officials say the purchase was made possible through the Mountain Home Public Safety Tax and the support of local citizens. The new engine will replace the department’s 1985 Ford Pierce fire engine, which has served the community for four decades.

The addition strengthens the department’s firefighting capabilities and ensures more efficient response to emergencies across the city.
