Early voting in Marion County has reached roughly 4 percent of registered voters, with a total of 542 ballots cast over the first three days ahead of Tuesday’s election on a proposed half-percent sales tax for jail and law-enforcement funding.

Friday’s report shows 160 voters at Bull Shoals City Hall and 382 at the Marion County Fairgrounds, representing the combined totals for Wednesday through Friday, according to county election officials. The county has 11,367 registered voters.

Early voting continues Monday at Lazy Acres from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Election Day is Tuesday, with polls open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Voting centers will include Bull Shoals City Hall; the Caney Fire Department in Yellville; Bruno-Pyatt School in Everton; Flippin High School; the Lakeway Fire House; the Marion County Fairgrounds; and the Oakland Community Center.

Voters will decide a single question: whether to adopt a 0.5% local sales and use tax to be used exclusively for jail and law-enforcement purposes. If approved, the tax would begin April 1, 2026.
