
Wil Lutz kicked a 35-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Denver Broncos over the Kansas City Chiefs 22-19 on Sunday. Lutz went 5-for-5 on field goals, including a 54-yarder that tied the game with 4:10 remaining.
Bo Nix threw a 32-yard pass to Troy Franklin to set up the winning kick. Nix finished with 233 yards passing.
Patrick Mahomes went 21 of 37 for 258 yards with one touchdown – a 21-yard strike to Travis Kelce, who became Kansas City’s all-time leader in receiving TDs with 84. Jaleel McLaughlin scored Denver’s lone touchdown on a 4-yard run.
Denver’s defense pressured Mahomes throughout, with Ja’Quan McMillian recording two sacks and an interception. The Chiefs fell to 5-5 and dropped to 0-5 in one-score games this season. Denver improved to 9-2 with its eighth straight win.
