Mountain Home man seriously injured when bicycle struck by vehicle

A Mountain Home man was seriously injured Friday evening when he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in Baxter County. The name of the 47-year-old man has not been released by the Arkansas State Police. He was taken to Baxter Health for treatment.

According to the report, a truck driven by a 19-year-old Mountain Home man was traveling on Arkansas State Highway 126 near the entrance to the McClain hitting Barn, when it struck a bicycle ridden by the Mountain Home man with no lights. The bicycle came to rest in the ditch and the man was thrown from the bicycle.

The accident happened at 6:39 Friday evening.
