The Second Amendment Legacy Foundation highlighted its growing community impact this year by awarding $50,000 in grants to youth shooting sports programs across the region. All nine grant recipients represent area schools and student organizations, underscoring the foundation’s continuing commitment to supporting local youth.
The grants were presented Oct. 15 during the foundation’s 2025 Awards Dinner, with all funding raised at the group’s April 2025 fundraising banquet.
This year’s awards reached programs throughout Baxter County and neighboring communities. Mountain Home Christian Academy received $4,500; Calico Rock Trap Team received $4,933; Mountain Home NJROTC received $4,746.75; Viola Shooting Sports received $5,203.98; Yellville Trap Team received $5,000; Cotter Shooting Sports received $5,000; Melbourne Shooting received $5,000; Mountain Home Bomber Trap Team received $5,000; and Baxter County Shooting Sports received $5,000.
Foundation representatives said supporting local schools remains central to their mission, helping student athletes participate safely and competitively while strengthening community-based programs across the region.
