
A busy night of basketball is slated for Monday night. Alpena, sitting at 3-7, hits the road to Green Forest, which comes in at 1-3. Viola (2-7) will be at home taking on Lutie in its season opener. Kingston is still looking for its first win at 0-10 and will try to get it at Lincoln, which is 1-4.
Valley Springs, off to a 1-9 start, hosts a .500 Huntsville team at 3-3. Buffalo Island Central, now 4-5, travels to Mammoth Spring, where the Bears are 5-4. And Bergman, one of the hotter teams in the area at 8-1, will welcome a strong Paris squad that enters the night at 5-2.
Senior girls
In girls action, Mountain View is off to a 4-1 start and gets a good test at home against Manila, which is 3-1. Kingston’s 7-5 Lady Yellowjackets will travel to Prairie Grove, sitting at 3-3 on the year.
Bay looks to build on its 1-4 start as the Lady Yellowjackets host Rector, which is 2-1. Buffalo Island Central (5-3) heads to Mammoth Spring, where the Lady Bears are 7-3 and playing well early.
Bergman is still perfect at 10-0 and will take on Pulaski Academy, which is 2-1. Salem and Cedar Ridge are nearly matched at 3-3 and 3-2, with Salem getting the home floor. And Green Forest (2-2) hosts Alpena, which sits at 3-8.
