Arkansas State heads into a must-win matchup Saturday as the Red Wolves travel to Appalachian State with bowl eligibility on the line. Both teams come in at 5-6, and the winner will punch its ticket to the postseason. Kickoff is set for Nov. 29 on ESPN+.
App State is a slight 2.5-point favorite at home, and the Mountaineers have been tough to beat in Boone. They’re averaging 28 points and giving up just over 25 in their last 10 home games, though they’ve been up and down against the spread as a favorite this season.
A-State will try to flip the script on the road. The Red Wolves have had a harder time away from Jonesboro, scoring 22.6 points per game and allowing 31.1. Still, they’ve been strong against the number all year and have plenty to play for as they try to lock in that bowl berth.
