Ron Peterson, President and CEO of Baxter Health, was presented with the A. Allen Weintraub Memorial Award at the 2025 Arkansas Hospital Association (AHA) Annual Meeting, recognizing his outstanding contributions to healthcare and his dedication to both patients and staff.

The Weintraub Award, the highest honor given by the AHA, is named for Allen Weintraub, a longtime administrator at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock, and honors hospital leaders who demonstrate excellence, compassion, and civic commitment.

Peterson has led Baxter Health for more than 18 years, guiding the hospital’s growth and ensuring high-quality care for residents of north central Arkansas and south central Missouri. His leadership emphasizes both operational success and the well-being of patients and employees, reflecting the values of the late Weintraub.

“Ron Peterson’s leadership stands out for its clarity, vision, and genuine commitment to both people and progress,” said Paul Wade, chairman of the Baxter Health Board of Directors. “His ability to lead with integrity, foster a culture of excellence, and drive meaningful change makes him deserving of this award.”

The AHA praised Peterson for his focus on quality patient care and his visionary influence on healthcare, noting that his work has helped establish Baxter Health as a leading provider in the region.
