John Rosenthal announces run for Marion County District 9

John Rosenthal has announced his candidacy for Marion County Justice of the Peace District 9.Rosenthal is a Park City, Kansas, native and graduated from Wichita Heights High School.

A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Rosenthal built a more than 30-year career as a commercial and industrial electrician, including 20 years as a licensed Arkansas master electrician. He held leadership roles as electrical superintendent on the first two middle schools constructed in Springdale.

Rosenthal, who moved to rural Marion County in 2016, is a former business owner and ordained minister. He says he supports the Constitution and believes the First Amendment is essential to a functioning democracy. He emphasizes local government accountability and says the people, not politicians, are the foundation of government.

“I want to be the voice of the people in Marion County,” Rosenthal said, adding that restoring integrity and returning to a back-to-basics approach in government starts at the local level.

Rosenthal will face Republican Miles Wellein during the March primaries next year.
