The Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce has released new details for Friday’s downtown Christmas celebration, including a change in layout for food trucks and vendors.

Vendors and food trucks will now set up in the Farmers and Merchants parking lot rather than around the square as in previous years. Streets are not expected to be fully closed, though the Christmas tree lighting will still take place at Veterans’ Plaza, presented by First Security Bank.

Despite the shift in setup, chamber officials say the evening will keep its familiar holiday atmosphere. This year’s parade theme, “Christmas in Whoville – A Mountain Home Wholiday!”, promises a Grinch-inspired celebration with floats, costumes and downtown decorations.

The festival runs from 4 to 8 Friday night, with the parade kicking off at 6. Organizers expect a large turnout as the community gathers for lights, vendors and holiday displays leading into the tree lighting ceremony.

Parade entry forms and vendor applications are now available through the Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce.
