Pine Bluff police are investigating a shooting that left two adults injured Wednesday night at a home on Barrow Drive.
Authorities say a man and a woman were preparing to leave the house around 9:32 when they encountered a masked gunman in the doorway. The suspect fired multiple shots before fleeing in an unknown direction.
The woman was shot in the foot and the man in the upper left leg. Both victims are recovering from their injuries. Two young children were in the home at the time but were not hurt, police said.
Pine Bluff Police Department spokesperson John Worthen said the investigation is ongoing and no suspects have been identified. It is unclear whether the shooting was random or targeted.
Authorities urged the public to remain vigilant and reminded residents that anyone with information should contact the police department.
