Harrison man arrested for stabbing ex-wife in leg during argument

A Harrison man has been arrested for stabbing his ex-wife in the leg with a pair of scissors during an argument. Facing two felony charges for the incident is 64-year-old Mark Muhlenbruch.According to the probable cause affidavit from the Harrison Police Department, the two still cohabitate and were arguing over finances. Muhlenbruch told responding officers he had charged at his ex-wife with scissors in his hands he was using to cut up chicken. He said he told the woman “You’re going to need to stop this.”

The victim said Mulenbruch entered the room with the scissors saying he was going to stab her. She said she tried to fight him off, but it was too late.

The victim was transported to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Muhlenbruch is facing felony charges of second degree domestic battery and aggravated assault on a family or household member. He is being held in the Boone County Jail with bond set at $25,000.
