The Mountain Home Bombers had the opportunity to bring home a championship Saturday afternoon in Bobcat Country. Those hopes were dashed as the Bombers would fall to Greene County Tech 49-42. Greene County Tech would open up the first quarter taking a 12-11 lead. The Bombers would rally to tie the game at 22 heading into the halftime break with a trio of threes from Rhett Filbert, Jackson Corp, and Cody Cormican. Mountain Home would go dry in the third quarter only mustering 6 points to GCT’s 12 and would trail 37-28. Mountain Home would cut the lead down to 4, but would get no closer as Tech would finish off the 49-42 victory.
Mountain Home falls to 5-2 and were led in scoring by Rhett Filbert and Drew Haney with 11 points each. Cody Cormican also added 10.
Mountain Home will be off until next Thursday when they begin play in the Arvest Hoop Classic in Rogers.
