
Arkansas used a dominant start to the second half to pull away from Fresno State Saturday afternoon, as the 25th-ranked Razorbacks rolled to an 82-58 win at Simmons Bank Arena.
The Hogs opened the half on a 22-6 run, stretching a 10-point halftime lead into a 26-point advantage. Arkansas made eight 3-pointers in the second half after struggling from long range early and finished with 10 assists and just three turnovers in the final 20 minutes.
Freshman guard Darius Acuff Jr. led Arkansas with 18 points, including 11 in the second half, and added eight assists with only one turnover. Karter Knox scored nine of his 11 points after the break, knocking down a pair of 3-pointers and adding two assists during the early run.
D.J. Wagner and Meleek Thomas each added 12 points, while Nick Pringle grabbed seven rebounds. Trevon Brazile tied a career-high with four steals.
Fresno State’s Wilson Jacques had a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds, but was held to just two boards in the second half. Jac Mani also finished with 12 points for the Bulldogs.
Arkansas will head to Dallas next. The Razorbacks face No. 19 Texas Tech in the RevoCruit Rematch at the American Airlines Center. Tipoff is set for 11 and the game will air on ESPN2.
