Jan O’Neill, 73, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away peacefully at the Hospice House on December 6, 2025. She was born on June 21, 1952, in Sundance, Wyoming, the youngest child of Albert Marvin and Anna Claire Blakeman. Jan grew up in Moorcroft, Wyoming and moved to Van Buren, Arkansas in her senior year of high school when her parents retired there. She met Redmon L. O’Neill when he was serving with the National Guard at Fort Chaffee in Fort Smith, Arkansas. They were married March 22, 1974, and from their union, their only child, Valarie Ann was born June 2, 1976.First and foremost, Jan was an amazing mom who unconditionally loved Valarie and showed that love every day. She was Momo to Garrett and Colton and they were the biggest source of joy to her. Jan was a devoted wife who cared for her husband’s every need in the last years of his life. In her working years, she was a hardworking Registered Nurse who showed great care for her patients. She most loved working in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Bradley County Hospital in Warren, Arkansas. Jan also was a CPR instructor and certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. She was a devoted sister to Anna Lee and Al. Jan drove them crazy as children but they were best friends as adults who talked or messaged daily. She was a faithful friend and was blessed to have lifelong friends that she kept in close contact with. The most important thing about Jan was that she loved Jesus and had accepted Him into her heart as Lord and Savior as a child. Knowing this, her friends and family can rejoice that she is now in the presence of God where there is no suffering or pain.

Jan is survived by her daughter, Valarie Ann (Jeff) Hayes; grandsons, Garrett Wade (Aubrie) Hayes and Colton Blake Hayes. She was anticipating the arrival of her first great granddaughter, Annabelle Elise Hayes, in January 2026. Jan is also survived by her siblings, AnnaLee (Glyn) Nolan and Al (Linda) Blakeman; nephews, Steve Nolan, Wade Blakeman and Jeff Blakeman.
Jan is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

At her request, services are private. She will be forever loved and remembered. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Hospice of the Ozarks, 811 Burnett Drive, Mtn. Home, AR 72653, in her memory.
