Arkansas State returns to First National Bank Arena on Tuesday night to face Southern Arkansas, renewing a series that has been dormant for more than four decades.

A-State (7-3) enters the matchup on a five-game win streak and is 9-0 against non-Division I opponents over the last 10 years. The Red Wolves have not lost to a non-Division I team since 1982, when they fell to Arkansas-Monticello. Since joining the Southland Conference in 1982-83, A-State is 24-0 in those games.

The Red Wolves’ last outing was a 12-point win over UT Martin, where redshirt senior Wynter Rogers tied her career high with 17 points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds. Zyion Shannon added 14 points, and Payton Fields scored 10 off the bench in just her second appearance of the season.

Southern Arkansas (5-3), playing the game as an exhibition, enters 1-1 in December after a home win over Oklahoma Baptist. The Muleriders are 1-2 on the road this season, with a win at Arkansas-Fort Smith.

The programs last met during the 1981-82 season. Arkansas State has won the last four matchups in the series, but Southern Arkansas holds a 9-7 edge all-time. In Jonesboro, the Red Wolves are 5-2, winning each of the last five meetings.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. on FloSports. Radio coverage is available on the EAB Red Wolves Sports Network.
