Izard County mercy-ruled Cave City 68-37 to advance to the finals of the Izard County Invitational Tournament. The Cougars, now 4-3 on the season, were led by Kade Yancey with 17 points and Benaiah Spray with 16.
Salem opened its season with a 66-49 loss to Walnut Ridge, which goes to 2-2.
Calico Rock improved to 9-3 after a 73-63 win over Couch, now 1-1.

In senior girls action, Lead Hill went to 6-7 after a 55-35 win over Omaha, now 1-5.
Calico Rock improved to 5-6, edging Couch 48-43.
Salem is now 5-3 after a 66-38 win over Pocahontas, now 4-2.
Izard County topped Highland 64-54 to punch their ticket to the Izard County Invitational Tournament finals. The Lady Cougars, now 3-2, got a big night from Olivia Spray with 30 points, and Haleigh Herron added 14.

Yellville-Summit picked up a 54-15 win over Mount Judea, bringing the Lady Panthers to 4-7 while Mount Judea falls to 3-6.
