Blytheville police and multiple law enforcement agencies arrested four people Friday in connection with a human trafficking ring, officials announced.
The arrests came after a joint investigation targeting a criminal network responsible for exploiting vulnerable individuals across the region. Agencies involved included the Blytheville Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, the FBI, Arkansas State Police, Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office, Jonesboro Police Department, Osceola Police Department, and the 2nd Judicial Drug Task Force.
The four suspects face charges including promoting prostitution, criminal conspiracy, engaging in contact with a criminal gang, and related offenses.
“This operation sends a clear message: if you come to our community to exploit, traffic, or harm others, we will find you, we will investigate you, and we will bring every available resource to stop you,” said BPD Assistant Chief Vanessa Stewart. “Our priority has always been the safety and dignity of every person living in or passing through Mississippi County.”
BPD officials emphasized the operation did not involve immigration enforcement, and the investigation is ongoing. Additional details may be released as they become available.
