A Sebastian County judge has ruled on who will receive the bodies of a Bonanza mother and her 6-year-old twins who were killed earlier this month.
Charity Beallis, 40, and her twin children were found dead in their home on Dec. 3 after police responded to the residence. Authorities say all three victims died from gunshot wounds.
During a hearing Wednesday, a Sebastian County judge ordered that Charity Beallis’ body be released to her adult son for burial once it is cleared by the Arkansas State Crime Lab. The bodies of the two children will be released to their father, Randall Beallis.
According to court records, Charity and Randall Beallis were in the process of divorcing at the time of the killings.
The investigation remains ongoing. Arkansas State Police and the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office are leading the case and say search warrants are being served, though no suspect has been identified.
