Investigators are examining a new development in the deaths of a Bonanza mother and her twin children after personal belongings linked to the family were found discarded in a Fort Smith dumpster.According to family members, the items-belonging to Charity Beallis-were discovered December 6 near Chaffee Crossing, about 15 miles from the family’s home. The bag reportedly contained family photos, paperwork with Beallis’ name and address, children’s artwork, and a necklace engraved with the twins’ names. The woman who found the items contacted police after realizing their significance.

Detectives collected the belongings as part of the ongoing investigation. Charity Beallis’ adult son, John Powell, confirmed the discovery and said he later discussed it with investigators.

Beallis, 40, and her six-year-old twins were found dead inside their First Avenue home during a welfare check on Dec. 3. Autopsies were conducted at the Arkansas Crime Lab. The Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office said the Criminal Investigation Division is leading the case, with search warrants executed and interviews continuing.

The case has drawn attention due to a pending divorce between Charity Beallis and her estranged husband, Dr. Randall Beallis, following a battery conviction earlier this year. Authorities have not named a suspect. Randall Beallis has denied wrongdoing and, through his attorney, said he is cooperating fully. No arrests have been announced.
