
The Izard County Sheriff’s Office is reporting multiple vehicle break-ins and vehicle thefts in the Horseshoe Bend area over the past several weeks.
The incidents have included:
– A Marlin 30/30 rifle taken from a vehicle Dec. 14.
– Two vehicles broken into Dec. 14 where money was taken.
– A vehicle stolen from a residence Dec. 30. It was recovered a few hours later in the Forty-Four community.
– Two vehicles reported stolen Jan. 3. One was found nearby and the other was located near Gorby.

The sheriff’s office reminds residents not to leave valuables in vehicles, always remove your keys, and lock your doors.
