The Mountain Home City Council will meet Thursday at 5 in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, located at 720 Hickory Street, to consider a range of new business items.

Among the items on the agenda are several ordinances related to property annexation. The council will review proposals to annex land into Water & Sewer Improvement District No. 3, including designations as Commercial C-2 and Industrial I-1 property.

Other items include an ordinance allowing municipal employees and officials to conduct business with the city, and the approval of a 2 percent cost-of-living adjustment for retirees.

The council will also consider new regulations on the retail sale, manufacture, and discharge of fireworks within city limits, which would repeal a 2024 ordinance. In addition, ordinances aimed at cleaning up city code provisions on solid waste collection and condemned structures are scheduled for review.

Presentations will be made by Scott Liles, Ted Sanders, Sue Edwards Strop, Alma Clark, and Shawn Lofton.
