Red Wolves aim to extend Sun Belt streak against South Alabama

Arkansas State women’s basketball (13-3, 4-0 Sun Belt) looks to continue its perfect conference start when it visits South Alabama (8-6, 1-3 SBC) on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Mitchell Center.

The Red Wolves, coached by Destinee Rogers, have won 12 straight games overall, including a 74-61 victory over the Jaguars earlier this season. Junior Crislyn Rose and Zyion Shannon both scored 14 points in that matchup, helping Arkansas State extend its active seven-game win streak over South Alabama.

Arkansas State is averaging 78.2 points per game while holding opponents to 68.4, with standout contributions from Shannon (14.3 PPG), Wynter Rogers (7.0 RPG), Crislyn Rose (4.0 APG), and Yves Cox (.628 FG%). The Red Wolves also boast a 10.1 turnover margin and 15.3 steals per game.

South Alabama has struggled in conference play with a 1-3 record and is coming off a 7-3 non-conference slate that included a home win over North Alabama. The Jaguars are led by Cordasia Harris, who averages 13.8 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CST with live coverage available on ESPN+ and radio broadcasts on the EAB Red Wolves Sports Network.
