Ulta Beauty is coming to Mountain Home, marking the arrival of another national retailer and a move local leaders say will keep more shopping dollars in the community.KTLO News spoke with Dr. Dani Pugsley, president of Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce and North Central Arkansas Economic Alliance, who says the cosmetics and beauty retailer has been considering Mountain Home for nearly four years.
Listen:
The new store is expected to have a significant economic impact, particularly because the nearest Ulta location is currently in Branson, Missouri. Pugsley said the addition of Ulta builds on recent retail growth in Mountain Home, including TJ Maxx, Five Below and an Aldi store, along with development tied to the city’s new community center.
Local leaders believe the expansion of retail options will reduce the need for residents to travel out of town to shop, helping keep sales tax revenue and consumer spending in Baxter County.
Listen:
The store will be located at 40 Plaza Way 60, near TJ Maxx. Details on the store’s opening date have not yet been announced.
