The foundation exceeded its goal for the Heartbeat of Hope Cath Lab capital campaign, raising more than $2.5 million to expand Baxter Health’s heart and vascular program. The new cath lab has been completed, is fully operational, and is already being used to treat patients.
KTLO News spoke with Sarah Edwards, Executive Director of Baxter Health, who shared more about the new lab.

In addition to cardiac care, the foundation provided more than $600,000 to support the addition of a surgical oncologist at Baxter Health, one of only three in the state. The funding helped purchase specialized equipment needed for the new service line.
The foundation also set records with its employee fund drive in 2025, raising $210,000 to support programs such as the Community Support Houses, Hospice House, and other assistance funds.
