Former BRMC COO named Vice President and Administrator at Stone County Medical Center

The former Chief Operating Officer at Baxter Health (then Baxter Regional Medical Center) has been named Vice President and Administrator at Stone County Medical Center. David R. Fox was named to the position Jan. 5 according to White River Health which operates the hospital in Mountain View.

Fox brings many years of experience in healthcare executive leadership, hospital operations and strategy supported by an extensive record of many accomplishments. In addition to his leadership background, he has hands-on experience in patient care, having worked in both laboratory and radiology settings. Fox earned his Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University. He previously obtained a Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Arkansas and completed his clinical training at the Baptist Health School of Nuclear Medicine, where he became credentialed as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Fox is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and a Fellow of the American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (FAHRA). He is also a member of the Arkansas Hospital Association, serves on the ACHE Board, and has been involved in state and community organizations.

Fox takes over for Kathy Thomas, the former Administrator of Stone County Medical Center, who will retire in December. During the transition period, Thomas will continue to support the hospital’s leadership and remain in her role as Chief Safety Officer.
