Flippin boys dominate Salem, Izard County girls rally in OT, Bergman boys roll past Valley Springs

It was a busy night on the hardwood around the Twin Lakes area on Tuesday.

Cotter
The Lady Warriors fell to Mammoth Spring 38-31, dropping their record to 14-10.

Norfork
Norfork’s girls picked up a 69-20 win over Timbo to improve to 13-4. The boys, however, lost to Timbo 68-44.

Flippin
Flippin’s girls struggled in a 59-19 loss to Salem, while the boys rebounded with a 78-38 victory over Salem to move to 21-5.

Calico Rock
The Lady Pirates fell 60-54 to Rural Special. The boys defeated Rural Special 61-53, improving their record to 16-5.

Mountain View
The Lady Yellowjackets handed Melbourne its second loss of the season with a 64-34 win, moving to 18-3 and remaining unbeaten in conference play. The boys lost a close game to Melbourne 49-48.

Melbourne
Melbourne’s girls dropped a 64-34 contest to Mountain View, while the boys edged Mountain View 49-48.

Bergman
The Lady Panthers defeated Valley Springs 53-43, moving to 5-1 in conference play. The boys rolled past Valley Springs 79-54.

Valley Springs
Valley Springs’ girls and boys both fell to Bergman, 53-43 and 79-54, respectively.

Viola
Viola’s girls earned a 58-18 win over Concord to improve to 14-7. The boys lost 60-36 to Concord, dropping to 6-19.

Izard County
The boys defeated the Marshall Bobcats 44-13. The Cougars (10-9, 6-1) were led by Benaiah Spray with 17 points, while Kade Yancey added 12 and Garrett Dillard scored 8. The Lady Cougars rallied from a five-point deficit late in the fourth quarter to defeat the Marshall Lady Bobcats 57-53 in overtime. Izard County (11-7, 6-1) was led by Hallie Skidmore with 30 points, and Willa Everett added 10.
