
No injuries were reported when two Marion County teens drove a truck into Crooked Creek near Yellville to test out how the four wheel drive worked. Since the two are under the age of 18, their names are not being released.According to information from the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission, one of the teens had bought the truck a few days earlier and wanted to make sure the wheel drive worked. They took the truck to Kelly’s Slab access west of Yellville and drove the vehicle into Crooked Creek.
The report from the Game & Fish says by the time authorities arrived, the truck had been removed from the waterway.
The driver was issued a warning for a vehicle restriction on Game & Fish property and the passenger was given a warning for aiding and abetting.
The incident happened shortly before 6:00 PM Jan. 4.
