Baxter Health pharmacist Angela “Angie” Powell has been named Staff Pharmacist of the Year by the Arkansas Association of Health-System Pharmacists, the organization announced this week.
Powell, PharmD, received the honor in recognition of excellence in patient care, leadership and service to the pharmacy profession. The award coincides with her 25th year at Baxter Health.
During her career, Powell has been recognized for her clinical expertise, compassionate approach to patient care and commitment to supporting both patients and colleagues, according to Baxter Health officials.
“This recognition is incredibly well deserved,” said Ryan Killian, PharmD, Baxter Health pharmacy director. “Angie has been a steady, trusted presence for patients, physicians and staff for 25 years. Her dedication to pharmacy practice and to Baxter Health has made a lasting impact on our organization and our community.”
The Arkansas Association of Health-System Pharmacists represents pharmacists practicing in hospitals and health systems across the state and annually recognizes professionals who demonstrate outstanding contributions to patient care and the profession.
