Mike Chastain, managing member of Born To Build Contractors, says roof renovations will soon be underway at the historic Casey House in Mountain Home using plans developed by Clement Associates, an architectural firm based in North Little Rock.

The structure, which stands at the Baxter County Fairgrounds, is the oldest surviving house in Mountain Home and at one time served as a home, post office, and courthouse. Chastain describes some of the materials the project requires that meet both modern standards and historic specifications.

Chastain noted the foundation is in good condition, but some past modifications will be removed and redone to meet current architectural specifications and improve historical accuracy.
