
A winter storm watch has been issued for most of Arkansas for Friday evening through Saturday night. The National Weather Service says a “high impact weather event” is expected to occur during that time frame.Science and Operations Officer Chris Buonanno with the National Weather Service office in North Little Rock says it’s pretty certain the Twin Lakes Area will have accumulating snow.

The farther south in Arkansas you go, they will have more sleet and freezing rain.
Buonanno says once the snow moves out, we will see bitterly cold temperatures.
