
It was a full night of basketball around the Twin Lakes on Tuesday, with several rivalry games, sweeps and standout performances across the area.In Flippin, the Lady Bobcats captured the Battle for Marion County with a 43-35 win over Yellville-Summit. The Flippin boys followed with a 60-47 victory, improving to 23-5 on the season.
Melbourne completed a sweep of Bergman in a pair of tight contests. The Lady Bearkats edged Bergman 45-43, while the Melbourne boys held on late for a 60-57 win.
The Lead Hill boys cruised to a 76-37 win over the School for Advanced Studies. Dawson Lively posted a double-double with 17 points and 10 assists to pace the Tigers. Hunter Rogers added 16 points, while Coda Lemon chipped in 10 as Lead Hill pulled away early and never looked back.
At Calico Rock, the Lady Pirates fell to West Side 65-37, but the Calico Rock boys bounced back with a 58-43 victory.
Viola split with Timbo, as the Lady Longhorns rolled to a 55-21 win, while the Viola boys dropped a 61-50 decision.
At Marshall, the Lady Bobcats suffered a 61-32 loss to Tuckerman.
Jasper put on an offensive showcase, sweeping Deer. The Lady Pirates won 61-15, and the Jasper boys followed with a triple-digit effort in a 101-58 victory.
Izard County came up short in a pair of games against Sloan-Hendrix. The Lady Cougars fell 63-46, while the Cougars boys dropped a close 52-44 contest.
At Valley Springs, Salems girls edged the Lady Tigers 38-35, but Valley Springs answered on the boys side with a 67-51 win.
The Mountain View girls rounded out the night with a dominant 72-34 victory over Cave City.
