Mizzou women host No. 18 Ole Miss Thursday

The Mizzou women’s basketball team will host No. 18 Ole Miss Thursday at 6:30 at Mizzou Arena. The game will be broadcast on SEC Network+ and the Tiger Radio Network.

The Tigers (13-8, 1-5 SEC) are coming off a loss to Florida Sunday. Junior guard Grace Slaughter led Mizzou with 29 points, moving into 25th on the program’s all-time scoring list. Junior guard Shannon Dowell added 23 points in just her second game back from injury. It marked the second time this season the duo each scored 20 or more points in the same game.

Mizzou ranks eighth nationally and first in the SEC in 3-point percentage at 38.0%, and is 20th in the country in 3-pointers made per game. Sophomore Chloe Sotell and junior Abbey Schreacke rank fifth and sixth in the SEC in 3-point shooting, respectively. The Tigers also rank first in the SEC and sixth nationally in free-throw percentage at 79.6%.

Ole Miss enters at 16-4 overall, 3-2 in SEC play, coming off a loss to Georgia. The Rebels are led by senior forward Cotie McMahon, who averages 18.7 points per game.

Mizzou holds a 13-5 all-time advantage over Ole Miss, including a 5-2 record in Columbia.
