A 17-year-old was killed in a sledding accident over the weekend in Saline County, officials said.
Deputies responded Saturday afternoon to the 8500 block of Shimrod Road in Benton after reports of an accident. Authorities said the teen was riding on an inner tube being pulled by a motor vehicle when the tube struck a tree.
The juvenile’s identity has not been released. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
