
Arkansas State University-Mountain Home seeks applicants for Dean of Technology and Health Sciences.
The Dean of Technology and Health Sciences provides strategic, academic, and operational leadership for the College’s comprehensive portfolio of credit and non-credit workforce, technical, and health science programs. This role requires a collaborative, transparent leader who supports faculty and staff and ensures teams feel heard. The Dean aligns diverse programs under a unified direction while responding to workforce needs and enrollment realities.
In this leadership model, the Dean also serves as Director of Nursing, providing direct oversight of all nursing programs and ensuring compliance with state, regional, and programmatic accreditation and licensure requirements. The Dean will work in close collaboration with an additional administrative leader who supports non-healthcare technical programs and the College’s Secondary Technical Center to ensure consistent communication and responsiveness.
The Dean reports to the Provost/Chief Academic Officer and serves as a key member of the College’s senior leadership team, with a strong emphasis on employer relations, partnership development, and workforce alignment across all programs to promote student excellence which leads to enrollment growth.
This position requires a master’s degree in nursing, healthcare, education or related field. Must have active or eligible Registered Nurse (RN) license, along with experience as a practicing clinician or healthcare educator, and leadership experience in higher education or workforce education.
The preferred candidate will have a Doctorate in a related field, experience as a Director of Nursing, experience with credit and non-credit workforce programs, grant, industry partnership, or rural workforce experience, experience leading programs with accreditation, licensure, and compliance requirements, and experience working with healthcare systems and industry employers.
Compensation includes an annual salary commensurate with background and experience, and a comprehensive benefits and leave package.
