Arkansas women’s basketball faces No. 6 LSU in SEC matchup Thursday

Arkansas women’s basketball (11-10, 0-6 SEC) will take on No. 6 LSU (19-2, 5-2 SEC) on Thursday, Jan. 29, at the Maravich Assembly Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m., with the game streaming live on SECN+.

The matchup marks the 57th meeting between the Razorbacks and Tigers since Arkansas joined the SEC in 1991-92. LSU has won the last four meetings, including the past two in Baton Rouge. Arkansas’ last win in Baton Rouge came in 2021, a 74-64 victory. LSU has scored 90 or more points in the past two matchups and has won both by more than 30 points. Arkansas holds a 19-37 all-time record against LSU, including 8-18 in Baton Rouge and 11-16 in Fayetteville.

Arkansas enters the contest having faced four ranked SEC opponents in its first five conference games under coach Kelsi Musick. Bonnie Deas leads the team with 192 rebounds, ranking fifth in the SEC and 32nd nationally. Taleyah Jones averages 16.4 points per game, ranking 10th in the league and 91st nationally. The Razorbacks rank third in the SEC and eighth nationally with 44.0 rebounds per game as a team.

Arkansas will return home to host No. 18 Kentucky on Sunday, Feb. 1.
