David Harold “Dave” Berry, 75, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, in Mountain Home. He was born on January 7, 1951, in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, to William “Webb” Berry and Una Bernice (Morrison) Berry.
David graduated from Fox High School in Fox, Arkansas, and later from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, proudly supporting the Razorbacks”Woo Pig Sooie.” He spent the majority of his professional career as a Mechanical Engineer in the automotive industry, where he designed plant layouts, production equipment, and manufacturing processes. David was a gifted inventor and was credited with and awarded patents for multiple innovations throughout his career.
His work contributed to the development of numerous automotive components and systems, including door and sealing mechanisms, trunk systems, seals, flooring and underlayment solutions, and advancements in plastics, polymers, adhesives, and production-line technologies. David played a key role in launching and optimizing manufacturing assembly plants across the United States and internationally, coordinating with machine shops, delivery and automation systems, training production staff, and authoring technical manuals. His work also extended overseas, supporting initiatives in Japan, India, and multiple European countries. Through these opportunities, David traveled extensively, formed lasting friendships around the world, and found particular joy in research, innovation, and new product development.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, David enjoyed woodworking and creative problem-solving. He was a devoted member of Midway Baptist Church and deeply loved sharing the Gospel. David faithfully served as a Gideon for 35 years, including the last 19 years with the Mountain Home, Arkansas camp, where he was serving as Camp President and Church Ministry Coordinator at the time of his passing. Through this ministry, he came to know the name of nearly every pastor in the Twin Lakes area and worked tirelessly to place Bibles into the hands of those who needed them.
David married Sharon (Stevens) Berry in February 1973 in Mountain View, Arkansas, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Berry of Mountain Home; three children, Aaron David Berry (Pamela), Laura Kay Berry Parvin (Matt), and Christopher William Berry (Ning Wang); six grandchildren, Ellie, Ethan, and Faith Berry; Emma and Evelyn Parvin; and Caleb Berry; one brother, William Darrel Berry (Bonnie); two sisters, Gail Lynn Lancaster (Allen) and Sarah Beth Berry Alexander; and his mother-in-law, Erma Stevens, many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William “Webb” and Una Berry; one sister, Donna Kay Berry; his father-in-law, Ray Stevens; brothers-in-law Charles “Digger” Melton and Bob Rogers; nephew Jeremiah “Buddy”Melton and many beloved family members and friends.

David’s life was a testimony to his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. He finished his race faithfully, and his family rejoices in the assurance that he is now in the presence of his Savior, hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
