Conway County Fire Department said a house fire north of Morrilton claimed the lives of three children Monday night.
Firefighters from multiple stations responded around 9, along with crews from Med-Tech EMS, after reports that children were trapped inside the home.
When crews arrived, the residence was fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters attempted several times to enter the structure, but intense fire and structural involvement prevented a successful rescue. The three children were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Conway County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation into the cause of the fire.
