Lead Hill, Calico Rock pick up big wins; Cotter falls in conference play

Conference games Monday night produced a mix of sweeps and split results across the Twin Lakes Area.

At Sloan-Hendrix, Cotter dropped both contests. The Lady Warriors fell 75-47, and the boys were defeated 74-44.

Lead Hill earned a sweep over Omaha. The Lady Tigers rolled to a 63-27 victory, and on the boys side Lead Hill came away with a 71-58 win. Dawson Lively led the boys with 19 points, Noah Royce added 18, and Coda Lemon finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

At Yellville-Summit, the Lady Bearkatz defeated the Lady Panthers 59-27, and Melbourne completed the sweep with a 59-41 win over Yellville-Summit in the boys game.

Calico Rock also swept its matchup with Timbo. The Lady Pirates won 72-34, and the Pirates claimed a 59-49 victory in the boys contest.

Viola picked up a girls win over Norfork, 56-50.

Izard County’s boys defeated Mammoth Spring 66-58. The Cougars improved to 12-11 overall and 8-3 in conference play behind 31 points from Benaiah Spray. Braxton McCandlis added 13 points and Sebastion Robbins contributed 11.
