
The Mountain Home Junior High Basketball squads were back in action for their home finale on Monday night.
On the boys side the 7th grade boys were defeated 50-21 in the opener in the back gym. That was followed by a thrilling comeback by Mountain Home’s 8th grade boys squad, who erased a 15 point deficit, to steal the 27-24 victory over Paragould. Uriah Sabo led the 8th grade Bombers in scoring with 7 points. In the night cap on the boys side Mountain Home was defeated 48-19. Finley Maxey led Mountain Home in scoring with 7 points, Brodie Horne added 5 points as well.
On the girls side the 7th grade Lady Bombers routed the Lady Rams 52-13 to begin the night. The 8th grade girls game was a low scoring affair that saw Paragould win 17-11. And in the finale the 9th grade Lady Bombers lost a heartbreaker to Paragould 38-35. Evalyn Marks led all scorers with 22 points.
Mountain Home will be back in action at the Junior High level on Wednesday for a set of make-up games at Valley View.
