Lady Bomber Bowling Qualifies for State, Bomber Boys Fall Short

The Mountain Home bowling teams competed Friday at the 5A West Conference Tournament, with the Lady Bombers earning a trip to the state tournament and several Bombers qualifying individually.

The Mountain Home girls finished fourth out of 13 teams with a total score of 3,011 pins over three individual games and five baker games, advancing to the state tournament. As a team, the Lady Bombers averaged 138 in baker play.

Mountain Home was led individually by Chloe Weatherford with a 432 series, including a high game of 170. Kinsey Stem followed with a 405 series and a 144 high game, while Daelyn Harper rolled a 400 series with a 150 high game. Nikata Brunette added a 395 series and recorded a high game of 160.

On the boys’ side, the Bombers narrowly missed qualifying as a team, finishing fifth out of 13 schools with a total of 3,919 pins across three individual games and five baker games. Mountain Home averaged 155 in baker competition.

Gabriel Gossau led the Bombers with a 587 series and a high game of 226. Branson Guggino posted a 562 series with a 213 high game, Evan Franklin rolled a 534 series with a high game of 206, and Gray Daniels added a 528 series with a 197 high game.

Despite the team finish, Gossau, Guggino, and Franklin all qualified individually and will compete at the state tournament.
