The Mountain Home City Council approved the sale of a small tract of land during a quick 17-minute session Thursday evening. The tract of land is in the Indian Creek Subdivision the city owns and uses to access a retention pond. The city will maintain an easement so they can continue to use the land for that. The owner has plans to build a driveway on the land.

The only other business was a couple of housekeeping ordinances appropriating money from the 2025 budget and making adjustments.

Mayor Hillrey Adams announced they have made a decision on pricing for disabled veterans for the new Mountain Home Aquatic and Community Center. The council approved rates for the center at its last meeting but pricing for disabled veterans, which was proposed at a flat 10%, was going to be discussed.

Adams says after a meeting this week, it has been decided disabled veterans can bring in their VA Benefit Summary Letter which shows their disability level and that will be their discount. For example, someone who is 50% disabled, will receive a 50% discount. The discount will only be for the veteran, not for family members.
