It’s a packed week ahead for Mountain Home athletics, with conference tournaments, state competition and a busy slate of home events on the schedule.

The Bombers are diving headfirst into postseason mode as junior high basketball conference tournament play continues early in the week, with dates and sites still to be finalized. The high school bowling team also heads into state competition, bowling in the 5A State Tournament at Jonesboro.

On Tuesday, Mountain Home basketball travels to Siloam Springs for a full night on the road. Junior varsity girls and boys, along with varsity girls and boys, are set to tip off beginning at 5 p.m. Meanwhile, Bomber soccer is gearing up for the season with a soccer parent meeting at 6 p.m., now scheduled to be held in the high school library.

Wednesday brings support off the court, as the Bomber Booster Club meets at noon at Holy Smokes. Bowling state tournament action in Jonesboro also continues.

The week stays busy on Thursday, with junior high basketball conference tournament play still underway and the Bomber swim team competing in a conference meet at Clarksville.

Friday is one of the biggest days of the week. The Bomber wrestling teams compete in the state tournament at UALR, while Mountain Home basketball returns home to host Van Buren. Junior varsity games begin at 5 p.m., followed by varsity girls at 6 p.m. and varsity boys at 7:15 p.m. Sweetheart royalty recognition will take place between the varsity girls and boys games.

The postseason push continues Saturday as wrestling state action carries on at UALR. Junior high basketball conference tournament games remain in progress, and the 9th-grade boys teams are scheduled to play, with the freshmen Bombers facing Marion at 2 p.m. and West Memphis Wonder at 2 p.m.
