A sting operation run by an Indiana-based group known as “Bikers Against Predators” has resulted in the arrest of a Baxter County man.
Forty-eight-year-old Kenny Ray Slack made his first appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court/Criminal Division February 2 and pled not guilty to three counts of sexual solicitation of a minor.
He indicated to the court that he intended to hire a private attorney. He is to reappear April 13 for a status update.
According to the Baxter County Sheriff’s office, the biker group had set up “decoy juvenile accounts” online for the purpose of gathering evidence on individuals who communicated in a sexual manner with people they thought were underage females.
The investigation was launched last year and Slack was arrested January 21. His messaging with the decoys was alleged to have started on June 8 last year and continued until late July.
Representatives from the “Bikers Against Predators” group provided investigators with audio and visual recordings of contacts made with Slack.
At one time, Slack is claimed to have said he planned to drive to Indiana and bring the female juveniles back to Arkansas so they “could be a happy family.” Slack has since claimed he had no intention of making that trip.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Slack also discussed marriage plans, sharing a bed with the juveniles, taking them shopping and providing pictures.
It is alleged the messages Slack sent to the decoys contained “many sexual advances” and that it was apparent from the content of the communications that Slack knew the females were juveniles.
Slack is free on $50,000 bond.
Bikers Against Predators is a non-profit group headquartered in Goshen, Indiana, according to their website.
