With just over three months remaining until the projected opening of Mountain Home’s new Aquatic and Community Center, the Parks and Recreation Department staff is updating its processes with new technology. The application ACTIVENet is designed to assist government agencies, parks and recreation facilities and other organizations. The app helps manage operations and administration, including registration and payments.
Mountain Home Parks and Recreation Director Daniel Baxsley says the addition of new programs has made registration and administrative tracking more difficult.
Recreation Coordinator Enoch Pepin says new users will have to spend the time on the front end setting up an account, and staff members are available to help with that process.
According to its website, ACTIVENet is used in 40 percent of North American cities and in more than 1,400 communities. For more information or assistance creating an account, visit the L.C. Sammons Youth Center at 1101 Spring St. in Mountain Home or call 870-424-9311.
