
Several area athletes have been named to the Arkansas High School Coaches Association (AHSCA) All-Star teams for 2026. Only this year’s seniors are selected for the teams.
Five athletes were named an all-star in football. Named to the West Team were Mountain Home’s Barrett Miller and Blake Vacco along with Dayton Waters from Harrison. Making the East Team were Cole Stemen and Kaden Brink from Salem. Salem’s Head Coach Billy Webber was named an assistant coach for the East Team.
In volleyball, Cotter’s McKenna Collins was selected to the East Team. Bergman’s Head Coach Christie Popejoy was named as an assistant coach for the East.
One area athlete was named an all-star cheerleader. Bergman’s Jayden Sexton was named to the East Team.
Two athletes from the area made the 2026 all-star dance teams. Mountain Home’s Addie Dewey was named to the West Team and Ella Fletcher from Mountain View made the East Team.
The AHSCA discontinued the all-star games last year due to declining participation from the athletes and coaches. The organization will continue to select and recognize all-star rosters for various sports.
