KTLO hosting live forums for Baxter County GOP Candidates Today; Wednesday

As voters prepare for the pivotal March 3 Preferential Primary in Baxter County KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot will host a series of live political forums on the mornings of Tuesday and Wednesday.

Starting Tuesday morning at 9, Candidates for Baxter County Justice of the Peace in five districts will meet at the KTLO studios for a one hour live broadcast. Each of the 10 candidates will be allotted opening and closing statements, answer questions submitted by the public and debate a series of topics presented by the moderator, KTLO’s Heather Loftis. The broadcast will be aired on KTLO FM 97.9 and streamed on Facebook Live and YouTube at KTLOStreaming.

Wednesday morning’s political forum will feature candidates for Baxter County Sheriff and Baxter County Judge and will begin at 9 at the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas. The public is invited to attend in person at 1042 Highland Circle in Mountain Home. The broadcast will also be aired on KTLO FM 97.9 and streamed on Facebook Live and YouTube at KTLOStreaming.

Baxter County Judge Kevin Litty and challenger Eric Payne will start the forum with opening statements as well as take presubmitted questions from the public, and debate topics presented by the moderator. Each candidate will be given time for closing statements.

Henry Campfield, Brian Davis and Mark Hollingsworth, all candidates for Baxter County Sheriff, will follow and will be given equal time for opening and closing statements as well as debate a series of topics presented by the moderator and respond to presubmitted questions by the public.

During the live streams on social media viewers will be able to submit questions to the candidates via the comment section of each stream. Questions will be presented as time allows.
